Lynne Yeannakis, Ed.D.
Senior Consultant

Lynne Yeannakis has been providing change management support in health care since 1978, both as a manager for Kaiser-Permanente of Southern California (1978-1982) and as a consultant (1982-present) through her firm, Decision Management Associates.

At Kaiser, Lynne was responsible for the organizational development services for the Southern California Region. In this role she managed a staff of internal and external consultants assigned to eight medical centers, managed the strategic planning process, developed physician and manager training programs, and coached physicians and managers as they developed new management skills.

Lynne has been a Consultant with The Tompkins Group since 1992. Her recent consulting engagements include:

• managing the change process to support the re-engineering of the utilization management program, including the implementation of new processes and systems, for an 800,000 member HMO;
• helping hospitals in strategic planning and organizational structure design;
• facilitating the re-structuring of the corporate Board of Directors for a multi-hospital system;
• conducting team building retreats for managers and physicians; and
• conducting conflict resolution and decision making sessions involving medical groups and hospitals.

Lynne earned a Master of Education in 1965 from Pennsylvania State University and a Doctorate of Education in Applied Behavioral Science in 1972 from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
